Cold one rider done

Finished the first cold one rider today:

I finished my first unit of 10 skinks yesterday:

And I also finished my first Cold One today. Ill probably work on the rider later on today.

8 Skinks done, Cold one riders started

Ive now finished 8 skinks, so just 2 more to go:) I also got started on the Cold One riders. I glued together the "Cold Ones" (I'm assuming thats what they're called:P ). They look like they'll be really fun to paint, lots of detail there. I then undercoated the in Black so I can start them off as soon as I'm done with the skinks.

I went and got 4 more paints today, two greens for the Cold ones and two shades of brown. Im now editing the Skins and painting the little poison darts on their bodies a light brown colour, and the tips Scorpion Green to look like poison (as you can see in the pics).

Finished painting my first skink. These guys are so awesome; they're tiny but they are very easily accessible so I can really get a lot of detail into them:

Saurus Warriors Finished, Starting Skinks

So I've finally finished my Saurus Warriors:

I'm very happy with how the unit looks. As soon as I finished I opened up the big battalion box :) I decided to get started with the skins. Although there are 12 skinks provided in the box, there's only 10 blowpipes, so Im just doing 10 for now. I'm hoping the skinks box will have more blowpipes which I can use for my remaining two skinks later. They're sooooo fiddly to glue together :/

Ive finished 3 more Saurus warriors now, so its 9 down and 7 to go until I've finished the unit. They're starting to look really cool as a unit now:

My lizardmen battalion also came in through the post today. Had to wait like over a week but it was £12 cheaper than in store. And I haven't finished my saurus yet so it doesn't matter anyway. Ive decided I'm not gonna open the box until I've finished my Saurus warriors.

Commander and musician

Finished the music lizard:

And the commander/hero. Wanted to make him stand out from the other lizards, so I made his spikes red and some of his scales yellow and blue:

Got started on the next 4 warriors today. Decided to glue together the full command group and one extra warrior.

I didn't glue on the hand with the standard/flag or the drum onto the warriors so I can paint them in more detail.

Black undercoat:

For the standard which is shaped like a lizard, I decided to use the same colours as for the Saurs warriors - light blue and purple. I think it fits in well with the look of my unit :)
